Dr. Ronald G. Willis - Cosmetic Dentistry in Tallahassee FL
EXPLAIN YOUR PRACTICE: It gives me pleasure to relieve dental pain and help people feel confident in their smile. My attention to the smallest aesthetic details- such as the size, shape and color of teeth- can make a huge difference in a person's appearance.

WHY THIS FIELD:
Cosmetic dentistry is what I've always wanted to do. It changes people's lives.

HOW HAS YOUR PRACTICE GROWN:
My practice has actually gotten smaller since I bought it in 2000. At the time it was geared towards capitation plans and I would see 25 to 35 patients per day. Now, I have a cosmetic fee-for-service practice and am able to give about six to eight patients daily more private, personalized service.

NEWEST TECHNOLOGIES:
Our office is equipped with the most current technology, including soft tissue laser to reshape and recontour gums, diagnodent laserlight to detect tiny cavities and intra-oral cameras. We perform diagnostics with the aid of the myomonitor and the K-7 system. This helps us analyze the patient's facial symmetrics and aid in smile design.

AWARDS/COMMENDATIONS:
Best Dentist, 2003 & 2005 Tallahassee Magazine "Best of" reader poll; Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies Clinical Instructor of the Year.

BEYOND WORK:
Personal outside interests are my wife, Margaret, daughter Kaylin, son William Bryson, daughter Willow, and my relationship with Christ. I also enjoy fused glass, pottery and working out.

CHAIRSIDE STYLE:
Relaxed.

FAVORITE PART OF YOUR JOB:
Watching people when they see their temporaries or veneers for the first time.

WHAT FASCINATES YOU MOST ABOUT THE HUMAN BODY:
How complex it is.

WHAT ONE LIFESTYLE CHANGE COULD MOST BENEFIT OUR HEALTH:
Frequent cleanings. Today we know that people with poor oral hygiene have a higher incident of heart attacks and strokes.

HOBBIES:
Pottery and working with fused glass.

PLACE YOU GO TO ESCAPE THE OFFICE:
To the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies, to train other dentists.

FRAMED PHOTOS ON YOUR DESK: My wife, my daughter, my son, and some of the patients we've done.
